Opening[]
(One of the three descriptions appear in the opening scene)
Auto Brother[]
(Input Auto Bro. Handle)
Your Auto Brother's name
is (Auto Bro. Handle),
right? |
(Select one of the 10 types of characters to be the Auto Brother.)
Beginning[]
It is the year 220X...
Owing to the rapid
advances in Wave
technology,
people are able to
enjoy a life of ease
and convenience.
Geo Stelar is a 5th
grader who lives in
this future society.
- (Geo appears in the screen)
Geo lost his father in
an accident a few years
ago.
The shock he felt at the
loss caused him to
rarely leave his room.
Then one day, something
quite unexpected entered
young Geo's life.
That thing was...
An alien with an
electromagnetic (EM)
body.
- (An alien appears)
The alien was called
Omega-Xis, and he had
an offer for Geo.
"I'll tell you about
your father if you let
me use your body, kid!"
And then...
The shy Geo and the
aggressive alien
merged together,
and a new hero was born!
Known as... MegaMan!
- (Geo and Omega-Xis become MegaMan)
As fate would have it,
the birth of MegaMan
coincided with a
dangerous threat to
Earth.
Aliens known as FM-ians
launched an attack on
Earth.
With Earth's fate in the
balance, MegaMan stood
against the FM-ians!
MegaMan risked his
life and battled to save
Earth from the FM-ians!
- (MegaMan disappears)
And the people of Earth
lived in peace...
However...
Unbeknownst to the
people of Earth, that
peace was about to end.
Two months have passed since the battle with the FM-ians.
Geo Stelar |
I finally got it! |
- (Screen changes, showing Geo with a box in the Echo Ridge park)
- (Geo jumps)
H-Hey! What d'ya mean!?
Geo, it looks like you've been talking to yourself the whole time!
What else can I do? |
- (Geo uses his Visualizer, showing that he is talking with Omega-Xis)
Omega-Xis (Mega) |
That Visualizer of yours is pretty amazing. |
Yeah, it is. Without it, a
person like me couldn't
interact
with an EM body
like you, Mega. |
- (Geo removes the Visualizer)
(Game asks player to insert "Your Handle". Max. of 10 characters)
(The Air Display appears)
Wow! | |
It's right in front of your face!
OK. What else we got
here... | |
Hey... Try and grab it. | |
OK. |
(Geo holds the Air Display)
(Geo moves the Air Display)
(Geo shakes the Air Display non-stop)
(Geo releases the Air Display)
(Geo Stelar's "PsnlView" appears)
(Geo turns off the Air Display and looks around)
(He finds a young woman near the BIG WAVE shop)
(The player gains control over Geo for the first time. If he tries to leave the area...)
You wanna try showing
your Personal View,
right? |
(If the player press the L Button)
Grab somebody over there and try showing them your Personal View. |
(Geo talks with the woman)
(Later in the park)
I'm starting to get the hang of this Star Carrier.
Hey, kid! | |
What? |
I was just wondering
about something. | |
In the sky? |
(Geo looks up)
(Geo jumps)
Bzurkk!!
(Sparks appear around the Advert Ship)
(The Advert Ship starts moving erratically)
(It stops)
(And falls)
(Geo runs away, barely avoiding it as the screen fades)
*CRASH!!*
That was a close one! | |
Oh gosh, what was that? |
(Three persons appear)
A crowd's forming...(Checking the Advert Ship)
There's some audio coming from the Advert Ship.
"Get ready for
this year's horror
masterpiece..." |
(If the player press the L Button)
Is there some kinda trouble? Let's get a little closer and see what's going on! |
(Talking with the crowd)
(After talking with everyone)
Zzrakkk...
The latest, greatest...
Zzrakkk...

It's like cats fighting! No! More like nails on a chalkboard!
KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!!
This... pain... is...

Ughhh...
(The crowd runs away)
KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!!
This is so painful... Can't... describe it!!
KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!! KKKRRRAKKKLLL!!
(Geo and Omega-Xis search for a wavehole)
(If the player press the L Button to talk with Omega-Xis)
Pulse in, kid! Stand over a wavehole and press the R Button! |
(If Geo checks the Advert Ship)
The Advert Ship is emitting some kind of awful noise!
Yarrrrrgh!! |
(If Geo goes far away)
You gotta pulse in at a wavehole, kid! |
(If Geo goes to his house)
Hey, it's a little too early to go back home. |
(Geo goes to the wavehole and changes into MegaMan)
EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar, On The Air!! |
(MegaMan walks a little, and Mega stops him)
Hey, go and talk to that Hertz. |
(MegaMan talks with the Hertz)
(The following options appear)
|

(EM BODIES)
(EM BODIES SEEN BY HUMANS)
(EM VIRUSES)
(THE WAVE ROAD)
(L Button)
Let's exterminate these EM bugs! |
(After talking with the Hertz, MegaMan goes to the Advert Ship)
Tutorial[]
OK, let's go! | |
Yeah! |
(MegaMan approaches the EM viruses)
(If players chooses "Yes", there will be dialogue during the battles. In the first battle...)
I'll show you what to do in a Wave Battle! Check out the bottom screen. This is the Custom Screen. 6 of the 30 Cards from your Folder will appear here. You can choose which of these cards you want to use.
So I can choose all 6, right?
This isn't a do as you please. There are rules, kid. First, cards in the same column can be picked in the same turn. Next, cards that are the same can be picked no matter where they are. Think about the cards that will work and choose wisely! Oh, yes. That's right. There are those useful white Battle Cards, too. You can choose them with any card in any row you want.
I see. Let me give it a shot. Hey, Mega. How do I find out what each Card does?
Just press the Y Button or the R Button to read about a Card. And if you come across a really nasty enemy, you can press the L Button to try and run away. But whether you can make it or not depends on luck. So, is it all coming back to you or what? Choose 2 Cards already so we can get this ball rolling. Kid, don't forget you can Touch the bottom screen to choose Cards. |
("Yes" - If the player tries to select Attack+10 first)
You should use that Card after you use an Attack Card. |
(If the player tries to run away after choosing "Yes")
Hey, kid! You can't run away now! |
(If the player tries to run away after choosing "No")
Hey! You can't turn tail and run now! |
("Yes" - After selecting two Battle Cards)
Good, now push the OK button. |
("Yes" - OK)
Finally! Time to take these guys down with your Cards! The cards you chose are in the bottom-left. The Card on the right is the next Card's name and attack power. To use a Battle Card, press the A Button. If you hold down the B Button, you'll fire the MegaBuster continuously.
The A Button is for Battle Cards and the B Button is for the MegaBuster. Got it, Mega! Um... and the number in the top-left is my hit points (HP), right?
Exactly! Good to see you haven't forgotten everything. If it drops to 0, then it's game over for us! So be careful, eh? You can use the +Control Pad to move left and right to avoid enemy fire. Don't forget that the Custom Gauge is in the top-right. The Custom Gauge fills up automatically over time. Hit the L Button or the R Button when it's full to go back to the Custom Screen. Alright, kid! You ready to go? Let's do this!
Ready, Mega! |
(If the player somehow manages to lose the first battle...)
Watch what you're doing! Don't get sloppy! One more time now!
O-OK!! |
(After the first battle)
I did it!! | |
Alright! Next one! | |
Gotcha! |
("Yes" - Second battle tutotial)
OK, next up is locking-on and the MegaAttack. First, go to the Custom Screen and choose two Sword cards. (Choose and press OK) Let's do this! You all set, kid? OK, here's whatcha do. You remember the MegaAttack? That's our combo attack.
Of course I do! Press Down on the +Control Pad to lock-on to an enemy.
Exactly! Press Down on the +Control Pad to enter lock-on mode. You'll see 3 arrows pointing in different directions. When you see these arrows, that means you're in lock-on mode. When we're locked-on, a target sight will appear on enemies directly or diagonally in front of us. When you see the circle sight on an enemy, use the Sword card. We'll dash right up to the enemy and cut him in two! Let's see whatcha got! Press Down on the +Control Pad and then press the A Button when you've locked on to an enemy.
OK! |
(After the second battle)
One more to go! | |
Stay sharp, kid! |
("Yes" - Third battle tutotial)
OK, now we've got the Countering and Bonus Cards. First, a Counter is when you hit an enemy with a card at the very moment he's about to attack you. If you pull it off, the enemy will be paralyzed for a bit. A Bonus Card is what you get for pulling off a Counter. Normally you can't use additional Battle Cards without selecting them from the Custom Screen. When you Counter, you'll get a card you can use immediately. Of course, you never know what you'll get. But since you don't have to wait for the Custom Gauge to fill up, you can use a Bonus Card to quickly trash an enemy. Countering with a Bonus Card won't get you another card, though.
Got it! It seems difficult but worth aiming for.
Timing is everything, so don't try to press your luck. Anyway, why don't you try to get a Bonus Card and delete the viruses in turn?
Yeah, but with all the enemies attacking me, I don't think I'll be able to get the timing down. I kinda forgot how to do this.
You're a piece of work, kid. I guess I can show you how it works. But just this once! I don't like repeating myself over and over.
Thanks, Mega! | |
Yeah whatever. Now, here's the signal for a Counter. You'll see an arrow above the enemy's head when the timing is right. When you see the arrow, let your attack rip! There are Battle Cards you can shoot right away... And there are some that take time before you can use them. Make sure you attack right when the arrow is over the enemy's head. And don't forget, I'm only helping you just this once, kid.
I know already! OK, Mega. Let's go! |
(If the player makes MegaMan lose the second or third battles...)
What the heck are you doing!? Be careful! Let's do it again!!
O-OK! |
(All viruses deleted)
Whew! That takes care of them!
Aah! It feels good to flex the old muscles in battle again.
Geez... You seem to be forgetting whose muscles it is you're flexing.
What's wrong, kid? I'm trying to pay you a compliment here.
I don't really need a compliment for fighting. If I had my way, I'd try to avoid any fighting. That's better, I think.
Hmph! You still don't get it, do you kid? Anyway, that doesn't matter. We've put a damper on that noise. Pulse out and see if everything's OK. Wait, don't tell me you forgot how to pulse out. Press the R Button or step on a wavehole. You do that and you pulse out, back to your normal self. Got it? |
(Geo receives mail)
I've got something in my inbox... To read my mail, press the X Button to open the Star Carrier menu, then select "Mail"... |
(If MegaMan goes far away)
You don't need to go there. |
(After pulsing out)
That noise is gone now. | |
What are the odds? | |
Huh? |
(Geo's friends appear)
Luna Platz |
Hello, Geo! How are you? |
Hey, Prez. | |
It's not often we get to see you out and about. I guess that means it's going to rain tomorrow.
What d'ya mean? I go outside. Sometimes.
Oh really? You'd stay inside all day if you could. You like playing with machines and gazing at the stars, right? And as your Class President, I worry that you are forgetting to go outside once in a while.
You don't have to worry. I'm OK. And I do go outside, so I can see the stars.
Bud Bison |
You should listen to the Prez, Geo. Going outside is good, especially for getting some good eats! |
Zack Temple |
There goes Bud again. He's always talking about food... Isn't he, Geo? |
Well, I suppose... | |
You should think about eating more... So you can get taller!
Hey! You promised not to crack jokes about my height!
So... Is something up? Why are you all here anyway?
Nothing is "up". Or down for that matter. Gee whiz!!
The Prez is kinda upset again.
Again? What now? | |
I was practicing the piano at home when I heard this awful sound coming from over here! And I was practicing so well too... All that practice went right down the drain!
That noise upset the Prez... And I'll never forgive it for that!
Bud, Zack, you guys really understand me!
I'll find where that noise is coming from... Then I'll smash it into the ground!
If the Prez wants that, then that's what we'll do. Leave it to us! Um... wait... What happened to the noise? It's gone!
The noise was coming from this Advert Ship. The problem's been taken care of already.
An Advert Ship? I really thought someone was making a huge pizza.
Who exactly would be making a pizza that big?
Geo, you took care of that noise, didn't you? Or perhaps not you buy MegaMan?
Um... well... | |
I see... You can always count on him! ...Hm? It's not like I'm trying to give you a compliment or anything!! MegaMan! He's the one you can count on!
Prez, your face is red. | |
Be quiet, Zack! | |
By the way... Can you guys keep it down when talking about this kind of stuff?
No problem. We wouldn't want people to know... That Geo Stelar is MegaMan!
No, we wouldn't. | |
Too bad. If it were me, I'd tell everyone!
Yeah... but... Transforming like I do isn't exactly normal. I also don't like being the center of attention.
Oh no!! | |
Wh-What happened? |
(Two men appear)
It fell over here!! Noooo!! What a waste of money! I'm feeling sick... Feeling sick... Aargh... Money... All that money...
Who is this guy? | |
He's feeling sick... I think something happened to him.
We should find out what's wrong. As Class President it's my job to help those who are in trouble!
Yeah! Our Prez is a model... um... Prez!
Geo, go over and see what's the matter. |
(If Geo tries to pulse in)
There's no need to pulse in now, kid. |
(L Button)
Aren't you gonna go and see what's wrong with that man? |
(Geo talks with his friends and Ere Mitic)
He looks really worried about something.
That guy won't shut up. What's wrong with him?
What money is he talking about?
Ere Mitic Ere Mitic |
Yes, the propeller did come off. Yes, there is no way the Advert Ship can fly without it. |
(Geo talks with Gredy Miser)
Gredy Miser |
Money... All that money...! |
What's wrong, sir? | |
Money... Money is what's wrong!
Money? | |
I'm a movie producer. I was using this Advert Ship to promote my latest film.
I SEE... | |
But now this happened. All that money for promotion just went down the drain! Money...Money...Money... Money...Money...Money... Money...Money...Moneeey!
(Enough already!) | |
(He's even more annoying than that noise!)
Moneeey! Nooo... | |
(Hey, kid. Aren't you good with machines?) (Can't you do something about that Advert Ship?) (That noise is killing me!)
(Maybe I could help...) Um... Excuse me...
Yes? What is it? | |
You can't put the Advert Ship back in the sky?
No. When it crashed the propeller came off. It should be around here but I can't find it. Oh my money! The money...! Money...Money...Money... Money...Money...Money... Money...Money...Moneeey!
(Enough already!) | |
(I guess we should look for that propeller if we wanna help.) |
(L Button)
That guy just won't shut up... C'mon let's go look for his propeller. |
(If Geo talks with Gredy Miser again)
Money! |
(Geo looks for the propeller, finding it above Luna's home)
